Native Sun Gardens will work with You to teach You to learn how to listen to your garden, become acquainted with each plant’s needs and steadily become…..a Horticulturalist!!

Native Sun Gardens specializes in site appropriate species.
Despite the name, Native Sun does not limit design to strictly California Natives.
We are able to incorporate many species of drought tolerant plants to create vibrant, inviting spaces.
We will work with you to meet all needs, such as screening from neighbors or street, maintaining views, incorporating desired colors etc. Native Sun offers designs in many themes:MEDITTERENEAN, TROPICAL, CALIFORNIA NATIVES, LAWN ALTERNATIVES, RESTORATION, EDIBLES/VICTORY GARDENS!!. Or perhaps a custom blend of several of these themes.

Each garden design includes 2 components:
1.Plant List-proposed species to be included, which will thrive in your given locale.
2.Garden Design- A hand-drawn custom design of plant layout, additions/removals.
*with these 2 components, You will be capable of doing your garden yourself, or hiring any horticulturist to install the garden that Native Sun has crafted for your space.

Native Sun Gardens can provide all steps of garden transformation from neutralizing existing gardens, designing the new space, purchasing plants, and installing the new garden!!
We will plant each plant, with an enhanced soil regime of organic composts and amendments.
We are also able to set up drip irrigation after a design is in the ground!

We offer on-going quarterly maintenance to our garden design clients. This way, you will know that all of your garden will remain in optimal health and flowering ability!

For some clients, restoring one’s land back to what was the native ecology prior to western expansion is the greatest priority. To do so allows the authentic sense of place to come alive, while re-invigorating the flora and fauna to help allow your land to thrive and Bloom!
